We have just speculated as to where the retail operation may be located since FanDuel Sportsbook partnered with the Phoenix Suns in April at Footprint Center, the residence of the NBA andnbsp company.

Then, a clearer picture becomes visible.

FanDuel unveiled designs for its brick-and-mortar casino, demonstrating a significant setup at the location which hosts the Suns, Phoenix Mercury, WNBA, Arizona Rattlers, nbbsp, and the Indoor Football League.

Information about Suns’ and FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel, one of the initial legal sports betting operators, obtained market access in Arizona. This move coincided with the day Governor Doug Ducey approved legislation to legalize regulated wagering, and the company also partnered with the Suns.

Four months later, FanDuel is the first to announce its financial sports betting strategies in the state.

The betting area will be located on an outdoor bench, spanning over 7,400 square feet. As per a press release, this area will also serve as a one-stop shop for fans to watch Suns games and other global sports events while placing bets on the ongoing games.

The retail location open daily will offer several services, including:

  • There are five panels for bets.
  • one VIP glass
  • 40 high-definition screens
  • Film wall of 35 feet
  • Space MVP
  • 26 bookmakers with self-service options

When did sports betting begin in AZ?

Undoubtedly, FanDuel is planning to expand its online casino to include Grand Canyon status as well. Furthermore, this launch could potentially occur in the next month.

The Arizona Department of Gaming began accepting applications on July 26 and anticipates identifying eligible license applicants by August 15. Provided everything proceeds as intended, including requisite background checks and technical testing, betting applications in Arizona could launch by August 28. This would enable marketing to commence and customers to establish mobile betting accounts.

The ADG expects the first authorized bets to be made on September 9, the start of the 2021 NFL season, if all plans proceed as intended.

Maxwell Hartgraves, the public information officer for the ADG, confirmed that mobile betting apps will definitely be available by the given date. He also hinted that retail sportsbooks might be partially set up by the same date.

It’s uncertain whether FanDuel will be able to access its finances by then. However, it appears that the technician is making good progress towards setting up physical operations in Arizona.
