Arizona sports betting is currently on the fast track to launch in time for the start of the National Football League season one month from now. Add BetMGM Sportsbook to the list of potential operators once it does.

BetMGM announced new collaborations with the NFL & rsquo, the Arizona Cardinals, and Gila River Hotels & amp, Casinos in Arizona on Monday. When sports betting goes stand this fall, the agreements put BetMGM in a position to probably bring its betting platform to Arizona.

In 2022, BetMGM plans to launch its second online store.

BetMGM announced its intention to open retail sportsbooks at Gila River properties in Arizona. BetMGM also plans to open a sportsbook at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, home of the Cardinals.

The Gila River Indian Community operates three hotel-casinos in the state. One is Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino in Laveen Village. The other two are in Chandler, Lone Butte Casino and Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino. The tribe is currently exploring building a fourth casino, also in Chandler.

Custom-built BetMGM Sportsbooks will be available at the three Gila River properties, & ldquo, and they are scheduled to open soon the football season.

Gila River Hotels & amp, Casinos, and the Cardinals were referred to by BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt as” ideal partners & rdquo” for the business in Arizona.

According to Kenneth Manuel, CEO of Gila River Hotels & amp, Casino,” There is no doubt in my mind that these three industry-leading brands unifying will deliver the ultimate experience in Arizona sports betting.”

The statement mentions the numerous previous collaborations between the Cardinals and the Gila River community.

Michael Bidwell, owner of the Arizona Cardinals, added,” This is a fantastic opportunity to build on our long-standing connection with Gila River. He continued by describing how the stadium’s new financial casino will offer & ldquo, a fresh and creative way to interact and engage with our fans. & rdquo,

As previously mentioned, BetMGM intends to opened its first AZ sportsbooks close to soccer season at the Gila River qualities. Andrdquo, In the meantime, the business has a more leisurely beginning date for State Farm Stadium. Arizona culture will begin to offer sports betting by September.

Arizona only just legalized sports betting in April 2021. Doing so also involved renegotiating and amending the tribal-state gaming compacts. The new compacts received federal approval in late May. The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) then drafted and finalized regulations for sports betting by late July.

The new legislation permits a maximum of 20 activities gaming licenses. Ten of them are for state-and-rsquo nations, which are recognized by the federal government, and ten for facilities and professional sports franchises in Arizona. The operator has numerous entry points into the state thanks to BetMGM & rsquo’s partnerships with the Arizona Cardinals and the Gila River Indian Community.

It’s interesting that there are fewer than 10 pro sports teams in the state, there are more than two dozen tribes, many of which are vying for sports betting licenses.

The ADG is now accepting applications from potential permit buyers. By September 9, the first day of the 2021 NFL season, it is hoped to have finished that process, including all required reviews and tests, in period to issue certificates and allow sportsbooks to open.
