Arizona's newly passed new sports betting bill paves the way for a sportsbook at State Farm Stadium. Who will operate it?

The new sports betting bill recently passed in Arizona allows the state’s professional teams to establish sportsbooks at their own venues. Some teams have already secured operators. There’s no doubt that the Arizona Cardinals will also have a sportsbook at State Farm Stadium, but it’s still unknown who will run it.

A few candidates are currently distinguishing themselves among the potential sports betting partners for the Cardinals & rsquo. However, their certainty is not as assured as Kyler Murray starting as quarterback this fall.

The Cardinals might become part of BetMGM’s growing list of NFL enthusiasts.

BetMGM could potentially be a leading choice to operate an Arizona Cardinals sportsbook, given their proven willingness to partner with other NFL teams.

The company BetMGM & rsquo, being the most notable outlier among sportsbooks that have formed sports betting partnerships with the National Football League, may shed light on some of its deal-making actions.

The NFL declared in April that it had secured multi-year contracts with three US sportsbooks, positioning them as the league’s “tri-exclusive” sports betting partners.

BetMGM has rarely been on the sidelines when given autonomy. So far, BetMGM has partnered with a minimum of seven NFL teams, including 7 & nbsp. The teams include:

  • Baltimore Ravens
  • Broncos of Colorado
  • Detroit Lions
  • Jets of New York
  • Las Vegas Pirates
  • Pittsburgh Steelers
  • Tennessee Titans

The most recent team to join BetMGM’s list of partners is Baltimore. The Ravens-BetMGM agreement was announced on Wednesday, just a day after Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan signed the state’s new sports betting bill into law.

There are no previous agreements to base any assumptions on, so any future relationship between BetMGM and the Cardinals franchise is purely speculative.

Current connection to Gila River Hotels, games, and more.

On the other hand, the Cardinals already have an existing relationship with a gaming companion.

In 2019, the franchise declared that it had broadened its ongoing partnership with Gila River Hotels & Casinos, establishing the Arizona-based chain as its official hotel and casino affiliate.

The Gila River Indian Community owns and operates the Gila River Hotels & Casinos, which is made up of three components: The Wild Horse Pass and Lone Butte games in Chandler, and the Vee Quiva game in Laveen.

So far, the Gila River partnership has primarily involved fan-focused contests and promotions. It also includes programs designed to support and uplift the Indian Community.

It is yet to be confirmed if that partnership will further develop to include a new sportsbook at the State Farm Stadium.

Another team from Arizona, locations that provide sports betting promotions.

The new sports betting legislation in the state permits up to 10 professional franchises to obtain sports betting licenses. Furthermore, federally recognized tribes in Arizona are allowed to secure up to an additional 10 licenses.

A month ago, the Phoenix Suns collaborated with FanDuel to operate their sportsbook at Phoenix Suns Arena. Similarly, the Arizona Diamondbacks joined forces with Caesars two weeks ago to run a sportsbook at Chase Field.

Prior to those agreements, a similar partnership was formed between DraftKings and the TPC Scottsdale golf complex shortly after sports betting was legalized in Arizona.

The decision on who will operate the Arizona Cardinals’ casino is expected to be made shortly. However, the franchise probably won’t commence operations until just before Murray’s debut this fall, due to the extensive preparation and paperwork involved in setting up a new sportsbook.
